Last time I talked about two popular post card subjects, swimming pools and Elks Clubs. Today I want to add two more subjects that are popular with postcard collectors and the first is Convents. The first is on a beautiful E. C. Kropp 1940s linen postcard and shows the Villa de Matel Convent in Houston Texas. This view is the Motherhouse and Novitiate of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.
The second view is a 1930s E. C. Kropp view of the combination Gymnasium Auditorium at the University of Texas in Austin Texas. The dual use facility gives you two attractions where many people will remember events they attended there and you get the extra kicker of being a huge University drawing card. You should always remember that the more topics that are shown increase the value as more collectors will be attracted to the postcard. Both of these post cards can be found in my Texas listings along with 10,000 additional postcards on my website Moody's Postcards.
