While hospitals are not a fun place to be, they do make for good and bad memories in our lives and that makes them a popular postcard subject. The first post card below shows the military hospital William Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso Texas. This is a 1926 Curt Teich postcard and shows a ward interior, sunken garden, greenhouse, library, soldiers' barrack, gymnasium and theater. These facilities were used by many soldiers as well as their dependents so a huge amount of people have a connection to this hospital. Postcards with multiple views like this give you an extra bang for you buck.
The second hospital is St. Paul Sanitarium in Dallas Texas and is shown on a 1907 Curt Teich postcard. Located on Bryan Street, this was the first modern hospital in Dallas and in 1898, the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul officially opened the facility. Both of these postcards can be found in my Texas listings along with 10,000 additional postcards on my website Moody's Postcards.
