Today's post card is an exceptional view of downtown Cheyenne Wyoming and I suspect it was taken during July. I base this on the fact that the trees and grass are green, the sign on the top of the tallest building on the left advertises the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and shows the date of July 21-25 and the street is lined with lots of flags for the occasion. The street shown is Capitol Avenue which runs from the Union Pacific Railroad Depot to the entrance of the Capitol which you can see in the distance. Visible along the street are Normandie on the left and Skaggs and the Paramount movie theater on the right. This is a great 1938 Curteich, Curt Teich linen postcard with vibrant colors. This postcard can be found in my Wyoming listings along with 10,000 additional post cards on my website Moody's Postcards.
